Debuting

After assessment yesterday, but still in ill mode but not-so-grave anymore, two of my articles are out there! I'm now the official contributor for Whiteboard Journal (almost about anything but hence the fashion scene in Singapore is one topic) and I am still for Hey Diaspora! on the food section.

And just by two hours of the article's age, it has 6 retweets!

For Hey! Diaspora, the online Singapore portal for and by Indonesians,

Assessment report (after I'm full well) will be up! :)

Magnify.

So, another week, another styling class. One of the weeks theme was, LADY GAGA.

Wrecked. I have nothing like Lady Gaga's bling-bling super wow theatrical show outfits. I'm not a fan of her either, you ask me if I've seen "Telephone" then I will answer no. If I've seen her in one Japanese show where they interviewed her and she had that bow hair, then yes I've only seen the picture.

Instead of getting a whole file of pictures of her because well, again, it's me hello, the Asian geek, I'll just post one inspiration and that's all I need.

I want the vest, I want that handmade diamonds in the rough origami-like work made by their stylist and my obsession which I stalk, Ha;Sang;Beg, and I want that gloves, I want that sun razors, I want that patchwork jeans, hell yeah!
It's le boyfriend's outfit for the Lady Gaga performance they did.
Yep, my man indeed.

So basically, the essence of Gaga would be something out of the box, did it on my own, something that is striking and not something to wear daily.

After looking at this, I still can't figure out what was it made of. I intended to create this with just black paper and folding it so, but I didn't have the time. So I had been wanting to create this and so I did . . .

. . . Diamonds magnified!
Printed in a stiffer paper, but after a while I thought it should be even thicker!
Using pins, rings, and pliers to put it together.

•wearing acid latex top, black Cotton On black angel top worn underneath, Rotelli boots.
accessories: metal charm bracelet, the DIY magnified diamond necklace•

That was for Friday actually, VP digital class. Just remembered.

And look! I do have one Gaga picture, thank you, Mac's Spotlight!
I want a hat like that...

Bondaged.

Spotted in Marmalade Pantry, one fine April hi-tea time, a woman bonded with the new Gucci - just for tea?
How envious I am.

Handycam Heroes.

I shall need to add another additional H in front there,
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEE and AWWWWWWWWWWWW
section. Let's bring on the little to the same-age-plus-plus inspirators (finally after promising in so long ago previous posts!) in the V-Logging* world!

*this will be explained by Ryan Higa of Nigahiga down below

•extreme GUSHHHHINNNGGGGGGG•

Awh Little Nina (my cute little virtual daughter and for real I would like to kidnap you someday and make you my own unless like Kevjumba says, "could I have an interracial marriage" in order to make a Nina xD) you left me speechless! I totally salute you for being a down-to-earth and honest girl by just the mere age of 4! These days kids and teens and I guess they grow up being a stuck-up kid.
Like, comparing to Nina who looks alike to Suri Cruise but without the princess chessiness because of Suri's parents' spoil her too much. TOO MUCH.

Adopt me Cruises OR Beckhams you don't have to work so hard to get a daughter? Tee hee!

Also in reviewing my Japanese skills - getting rustier than ever!
Cute chubby Nina when she was much younger, ZOMG that super chubbyness.
Which reminds me that the examination results should be out this month! =X
だめだめだめだめ!(`3`)

Little Nina makes me fall in love all over again and again and again and again... Less than three so much! :D

Within the topic, here are entertaining/ghastly boring, how you would rate it so if you are interested in the Japan way of life or not, are crackling dry humor at some point but hella yeah, creativity for them never cease.

Let's stop about Nippon! It's time for the people who are my heroes of stand-up (or here, it's more of a Sit-Down Comedy and start gibbering yada-yada-yacking nonsense infront of a handycam/webcam/mobile phone camera) comedy, which I just found out about a month ago. Kudos to Ryan: Nigahiga, Kevin: Kevjumba on my life in Tube, Youtube!

It's what you do most of the time, ding dong! XD

•I give up talking•

•damn hot mister Ryan! Super hawt with your abs and ... boobs whore•

Next is the partner in Crime KevJumba and his hilarious dad - which reminds me of my own but not as open and as, say, quite in the 2NE1's century brained? Tee-hee!

•smacked down-right to the fact!•

And my ultimate favorite! His dad reminds me of my grandmere singing Jinggombel, Jinggombel, Jinggombal gombel...

A Kev Jumba and Happy Slip collaboration! (Sorry I don' think most Happy Slips are funny but yes, STILL 'DON'T FORGET TO WEAR YOUR HAPPI SURRRIP!')

And one special Happy Slip, slipped between all this. It's cliche but it works! Fan behind! Hahahahahaha!

I just just JUST discovered this channel, mychonny, and he's also one person to watch out for. Wow, we Asians are making progress in the realm made by Westerns!
Oh, I do loike yoo accent, it's very charming indeed. ;D

It's getting warm I tell you, it's getting warm. There soon and about but not as gibberish fun as the pioneers, shall I label them so?

All of these are actually my style of dialogue, but I've written it down (hence the long tedious ranting posts in my blog) so I was wondering then... shall I start doing my own videos which are much easier to see (but sorry, my own country, our internet connection still does suck, can't handle Youtube hotness) with slow buffering (which gives me writing option instead).

Look out for it somewhere in the summer - I'm dragging Just High and Remember the Bla-bla-whut? author to come and join - I've got one topic to talk and rant like Nigahiga!

A Happy Sunday!

Manipulators.

Today marks a special day in the calendar and fellow Fashion Textile peers: their very first exhibition! And it's also the first textile exhibition in Singapore. Though small-scaled, but a team of 12 (correct me if I'm wrong, fellas) have sweat blood to stitch and sew french knots and twirly knots for the past month of their life, sleepless.

So here I am, the only 1-week special exhibition of the textiles,
"The Manipulators"

Held in Project Space, LASALLE College of the Arts till' this Sunday.

•Yosepin! She's the designer of the one previously above this image - the brownish violin-like prints.•

 •dire french knots!•

My personal favorite: colors and drapes!

With the designers... (ex-FH3C too! :D)

•Take one!•

 •Take silly two!•

•Me and Fang-fang:)•

Proud students of Fashion Textiles (and I do blend in well) wear colorful patterns, ethnic or romantic vintage, or those optical illusions... and today I match well with the showcased work! I shall need to be put to a mannequin for my beautiful red batik dress...

Anyone taking it do let me know - credits and a little drop-a-note wouldn't hurt! :)
For sure you need to see it for yourself. It's breathtaking by just first years'!

*

Today was unexpectedly appropriate for the event - I first wanted to wear my Next tunic embellished with sequins, it has been hanging for the past half year not wearing, but then the day grew so hot, and remembered that my mom has brought me a red dress, light cotton beach-pretty batik dress, and I thought of wearing it since it's big and billowy to keep me cool.

A good thing was that I also remembered my black over-sized blazer, and pairing it up, it's just nice for school! Not casual, still acceptable. And yes, so then I dressed up well for the event. :D

•wearing over-sized blazer, Batik Keris spaghetti strap dress, Buddha charm necklace, Turkish charm necklace, Dolce Vita strappy leather sandals.
Recycled-material green tote bag•

•Yeah, I did manipulate the way I do my blazer. Three buttons, different destinations. Drape Rape!•

•There's something ethereal, surreal about this self-shoot. I was trying the high-fashion pose where this pose makes me have the hour-glass shape, slimmer and better! Boy do I like my warrior sandals.•

•The wind also works today outside the balcony - and no, I don't smoke, but the pose does have that suggestion. Pretty natural for a not? Tee hee•

Alright - back to my Pasta love!
