Lane.

This is a story about a foreigner arriving in a tropical country.
She is clueless about where she is.
She came with pure boldness.
She is dressed in her skin.

She starts to melt off her layers,
revealing more rainbows with every peel of the petalAdapting to the surroundingComing to her new home with extreme weather and the universe on her feet.Alpha LaneStyling : Elizabeth Raisa / RICE

This fun editorial spread done for the sake of FUN as the duo-sister photographer sally/emily was in Lion town, and they asked me to style. Nothing to loose as the brief was to just take shots at Haji Lane, my real colors came out to dress our pretty 17YO model, Lais, into the rainbow girl I have always wished to be.
"...being ahead of the curve is big-time."
Concept of the styling, the angle plan of the photography and all that details, can be read in our interview with ActuallyMAG! Click click!

After a long wait, ActuallyMAG's editor Liyana finally releases our secrets of our processes (right) for a 3-month delay. That's why I've just published this post, where it has been sitting in the Drafts for so long. . .
Well, that was me and the model going crazy at 11AM.Expect more color burst fun and the spread on the jump!

Amazonist.

Guess what I found at my college's library?
The Debut Edition of Melissa Plastic Dreams shoes magazine, entitled (duh) Plastic Dreams
August / Sept (Fall issue I suppose) 2011!

And as placed as being one of the most natural, colorful places in the world with vast habitats in ecology, South America - Brazil, is truly the place to visit after looking at the article! (Wait. this is off-track). Anyhow, featuring some of my cuts which I dug out with an apparent similar color palette suiting the magazine.

Katy Perry is the first model used for the cover, with her inside for sure showcasing Melissas and a styling confusion - from Topshop to high-end designer labels, is Melissa wanting to show that it can be used all over? Your take.

All peektures should be able to be clicked en enlarge, I suppose.

• Sorry Katy fans! Didn't dig the editorial much of her here but I like this shoes above so I took it out. •

Don't mind me being a rowdy pink kid a while - this was the outfit of the day when I met Mademoiselle Yulia. Yeah, THAT GIMME GIMME girl x Fafi. One that remembers me (hopefully) that I sent her a snap of KTZ's Sasha. She's amaaaayzinggggg but I didn't get to meet the VERBAL dude :(

Wearing head-to-hip in KTZ. Isn't the pink-tassled vest stunning?! Get it here for anyone in SE Asia - I got mine here since I live in Singapore myself. Ha!

Of course, who doesn't love our lady of punk and funk : Vivienne Westwood? I still love her to this very day!! But nonetheless I don't seem to like any of her Melissa shoes...
(look at her creations from the olden days to today! Special timeline just for her~)

But, I like Alexander Herchhovitch, the other hitmaker (like my nails! *wishing)! Love his shoes and designs, epicly the bondage boots for his RTW 2009 collection.

• DIVA ring, OPI colors that matches the Rose print Tee worned. Yeah, that IS my original nail, anyone asking •

So onto the beautiful, fashion editorial world-class standard for plastic pairs of Melissa's from JPG (Jean Paul Gaultier's) and plastic fantastic Barbie girls, I really love this editorial Tropical Delirium:
:

And not forgetting that SERIOUSLY SCREAMS MY STYLE, fluttering parrots in the midst of the Amazonian forest, with bows and ribbons twined and colorful pouffed hair
GLAMAZON.

In a special column, names from Blonde Salad Chiara came up whom once Ira told me about her, (and we're both so dead in blogging and moved onwards in our offline life, LOL) and I was pretty obsessed with the beautiful name of the beholder - no stalker attached here but it gives such a pretty ring to it - and rhymes like Fererro chocolate,

(drifting again. We have a SAS: short attention span problem)
but I noticed one that I really knew well. This is,  Around the World where Melissa fans dwell and is famous for being in their own skin!

Well I was hesitant at first ! However after reading it and somehow to check the site link written it is correct - they didn't state it but tinytoadstool, the super kawaii creations Shan makes I can't stand it and here she is!

And how I STILL DREAM OF GOING THERE. SOUTH AMERICANOOOOO WHEN WILL I VISIT YOUUUU AND TAHAN THE 21-hour fly travel. Rio de Janeiro of Furious Five, Youth Day in 2013, then drop a visit to Machu Picchu... /daydream for now

Check out their article on about their rainforests and the country in INTO THE WILDhow they influenced the world thru their natural habitat and on their design processes of Melissa.

Short attention span, I shall sojourn to my own wealth of my final year project (dealing with SAS and all that jazz), fashion-focused project.
Wait for it next year! Until then, I'm signing off after another probably 5 more posts (if I can make it) for this year.

Just came back from Anime Festival Asia 2011, will be doing Sundown Festival and, not forgetting the Mnet Asia Music Awards later end of the month. Woots!

OH, YOU FANCY

You'll never hear me ask once and for all to go out at midnight all the way to a club.
You'd give me an incredulous look in a second, blink in disbelief, but go 'hurrah!' on the next.

Well, that was only one night, for only one reason - to see fancyHIM and THE Peli spin for the night all the way from TOKYO! Omaigotto, when else?

And since N.thanael Shaf Stefan and the usual hood are there to do some dance moves as said...

So here it was - and I love the design of the poster/flyer/image here!

Back to topic, they're pals with MLLE YULIA too, so they're the heart of the Tokyo clubbing scene. And the fashion part for sure which I was aiming for.

It's a mask ball, and from its description, a mask is a must. I was stucked for a bit but luckily I had a mask somewhere safe kept since a couple years back.

So of course, I had to prepare. As geeky as I'd get for all things Nippon, here's what I did to plan beforehand:

•uh, yeah, that's supposed to be me in a big bun on top, with whatever drawing and the additional last minute change from necklace to hair piece of my baskin robbins spoon 'cessary... and the mask.•

When I was re-reading for a gazillionth time after the night of N'TH (click on the picture to support em! I love love love this free, yes freeeeeee magazine in SG) and saw Peli on their Droptokyo street style, I was even more overwhelmed. That's why she was even more familiarly refreshed on my head! *And I like that girl on her left with her colorful skirt*

Yeah, to cut things short, I prepared just as I drew on the above for the tee. I've been keeping this tee for some time - it's and old tee of my dad's used for soaking up the last bits of dye I did during the summer (POST WILL COME NOT ANYTIME SOON HA) and after contemplating plus watching the latest SHINee Juliette video which put me to fashiongasmic of its styling and the toy masks, I tried to cut like le wife's pink tee turn something liddat on left here.

•snap away and cut cut cut with full on accessories on the night•

With a few changes from knee-high black socks to leopard prints and being the earthy-theme'd helped by Miss President Director of BS Corporation Damian Shirley I was ready to rumble and to be looked at weirdly. Yeah, you be the judge. ;)

The theme for me was all out and the night where I felt like I was supposed to be in 原宿(Harajuku). ふわふわふわ〜

•When it becomes a necklace, and the fancyHIM goodie in my bag~

•wearing unbranded colorful tee (inside), DIY black-dyed self die-cut tee, Batik Semar dress as jacket, old navy brown wool shorts, leopard stockings, unbranded yellow sandal wedgeswearing all most of my chunky bracelets gotten from Turkey, Diva metal ring, small crotchet bag from Yunan, Glo-in-dark rosary, DIY Spoon haircessory and the mask•

Got little goodies perfect for my pin collection and next DIY-ing, and the best memory however blurred. Mission accomplished at 3AM, which is what I wanted to do and the ONLY thing I wanted to do is to snap, and pass. Won't dish anymore to keep the wish far safe. 11:11!

She was great - she suddenly high fived me for "great mask!" whilst re-Q-ing back to the party. It was a good choice to re-enter. It paid off.

Well, be the judge again for below.

Butter Factory's best MISSMATCH yet - and boy was I BLOWN AWAY - the songs they spin and the taste SUITED ME WELL. I am the hometown kiddo of Japan afterall. AND PELI SPINS MAD. WDF AWESOME MAD. Love her DJ style hands down period .

Forewarned.

Pinocchio!
(Boy I love the gif at the top and their album artwork)

Here I go again - in terms of their music, their highly experimental producers with of course to live up their group name pronounced "effects", and is targeted for the younger crowd with their uber colorful spunky and youthful styling of clothes is what I like about them most! They usually sport in local designers (Korea's) styled by noneother than Namgung ssi which I'm a bigggggg fan too. Well G told me about him being the stylist as I was highly unaware who's behind f(x) but now I know!

(this post has been planned since like 1 month ago and I never got to touch it up until now with even more news. Blogging failure)

You've been forewarned. They're dangerously back to bring on some serious colour!

This is the mugshot - well, mug-illustration.

Kekekekekeke.

Man, I want to raid SM's wardrobe for BoA / SHINee / f(x)!
(I also don't mind getting YG full of designer-heavy and hip hop wardrobe!)

I love their new campaign and photoshoot comeback - the retro feel is still there like using a film camera. The graphic direction is much cooler and well, a tad futuristic? Compared to their previous NU ABO. which I was spazzing them about there.

Sulli looks freaking adorrrrable hereeeee her flawless face!
I love the whole design direction (again) with these color palettes. I love love love.

They're more artsy-fartsy colorful and unique (a bit weird on some music tracks) but then they're what they are.

And uh, I love Amber girl-power style as always.
WHY DOES SHE HAVE TO LOOK LIKE A GUY ALWAYS? (or styled towards) :(

I do feel that Krystal borrowed SHINee Lucifer's photoshoot props for the feather. Tee hee~

Is Sulli wearing Pugh wedges or I don't remember it being closed toe (it's peep toe wedges of his right?)

I love the beautiful chubby-not-that-chubby either Victoria but her looks this time isn't so stunning. But since I love her a lot and she's uber talented and cute but she's actually 21 - omo - then here's her pretty self:

Rest of the girls here

But nonetheless I love this blue feather jacket OMOOOOOONA.

Then this is a cute (fan artwork?) image I found - paper dolls! I DONT MIND having them as my paper dolly faces =3

I forgive you you gangsta wannabe girls. Not your fault since you're still the most artsy-fartsy band I loike. ;)

Images are curated from Namgung's blog and f(x) forums and fansites.

Well, you haven't watched them yet? You are mad.

I simply love the dance too they're certainly making big progress and effort! The first 8-count was powerful. And their special made dress/skirt/vest/tee from KAAL E SUKTAE (Stocked in Actually, goodness I can't just stop dreaming about it but I can't never get them yet) and more Fleamadonna's makes me cry...

Sulli wore a cap of pink dinosaurs which I thought thexoxokids made it (similar to his necklace there) but he said it was more of Burger Kim's....

Then that's the paneled skirt and tee worn by Victoria and Luna over there, a la SUKTAE SS11.

Ah, this is only to see the pretty V.

Well the designer and stylist are on Twitter! Stalk stalk if you love them much! Kekekeke

Alternatively you can follow my spazm about them and upcoming Seoul's 10 Soul articles in my own Tweetweet.

T w e e t   C l i c k   M e !

I tweet my latest blog posts and art projects I undertake, East Fashion worshiper, insider scoop of what happens during press cons of the lovely Korean idols, and random musings on my gastronomic journey. So if you have the same interest, holler up!

Or, more like chirp.

PS. OMAGAHHH now i have to buy their album too look at this amazing artsy-fartsyness thanks to HASANGBEG! *Tip: f(x) and SHINee do share clothes*

Pinocchio NUABO now REPLAY then Juliette. Why must I buy them? Well, I'm a sucker for all things pretty packaging.
