Dawn.

Hello in 2012 whutderrfakqer readers! A new dawn for the new year starts.

Issue 004 is coming out soon for DEW Magazine, check out the preview which I contributed a post for them for BOB!

I have no idea what issue theme will be, so I can't be musing after I stop writing from DEW 002 where I had to just mused with photos and here's my own favorites from 003 (because I am so tired from online writing in that point, meheheh)

There are so much stunning works I can only gape, but one is certainly interesting from the title, direction, and of course, hats off as it is not DIGITALLY MADE - IT'S HANDMADE! (A Personal Favorite).

this illustration is created and proudly said by an Indonesian illustrator, Eko Bintang, which I now nominate him as part of my favorite illustrators!! His drawings reminded me of good ol' days of CosmoGIRL! Horoscopes drawing I used to really like and cut out. I forgot that illustrator name, he's based in the States.

 Someone recalls? Let me know!

Dolce & Gabanna's "Boys will be Boys" getup is the closest style I could replicate with a sudden shopping spree of neon colored blazers on ASOS. If not, "Spank It Babe" is the most entertaining DPS ever, don't you agree??

Other than that, the third edition is filled with themes around 'EASTERN ISSUE', but I took some other awesome picks which are not entirely Eastern.

• can you believe this that these frocks are designed and made by an Indonesian designer? Guess who! You'd have to find out by going to the magazine! It's BREATHTAKINGLY PRETTAYYYYY. My style much.•

Anyhow I just realized the new features of Twitter those "Paper.Li" thing. Unless you use an iPhone and other touchy smartphones, you wouldn't know as there is no feature for this on desktop (blame me, I only log into the website, not using Tweetdeck whatsoever), so I've been popping out a couple places... like this one:

Funny thing is its from Padalarang, of all places!
More funny unimportant musings around my article and the comments can be found on my Tumblr.

I know I promised a lot of things to unidentified readers and whoever wants to but I really should get writing on more posts ey.

Core.

To the core of the crust.

Dear people who have actually, seriously clicked 'Buy This' - it is actually not for sale but to let me know of who is genuinely interested, I thank you very much. I tried for fun with the new widget for BUY THIS and it looks good too, but also that the TEXT option was somehow weird that I couldn't add any text box. So this refers to this blog post for my rationale file.

This is a zine project from college, filled in with most of my expeditions, writing, interview, articles, and a few  taken from the publications WHITEBOARD JOURNAL.

Special exclusive interviews includes South Korean fashion designer, based in Paris, SONGZIO, and the president of Bunka Gakuen Japan (the fashion institute there) SATOSHI ONUMA.
In-depth insight of the trip I took (which I've never got around blogging about it but it's still sitting there in my drafts, sorry!) YUNNAN, CHINA, and beautiful captures and flash news in the design world.

Below is the rationale file process for the design aesthetics, color, typeface information, etc. (the dirty bit of the project).

To see the entire project, do visit and appreciate it, as seen below!

See the project here
However, you are still interested up to this point to want to get a copy? For people who are genuinely interested in getting a one-of-a-kind copy with extra oomphs added in the package, I can't thank you enough and I'll do my best to make one-print runs.

Drop me a comment here with your email which is contactable to further communicate! :)

Amazonist.

Guess what I found at my college's library?
The Debut Edition of Melissa Plastic Dreams shoes magazine, entitled (duh) Plastic Dreams
August / Sept (Fall issue I suppose) 2011!

And as placed as being one of the most natural, colorful places in the world with vast habitats in ecology, South America - Brazil, is truly the place to visit after looking at the article! (Wait. this is off-track). Anyhow, featuring some of my cuts which I dug out with an apparent similar color palette suiting the magazine.

Katy Perry is the first model used for the cover, with her inside for sure showcasing Melissas and a styling confusion - from Topshop to high-end designer labels, is Melissa wanting to show that it can be used all over? Your take.

All peektures should be able to be clicked en enlarge, I suppose.

• Sorry Katy fans! Didn't dig the editorial much of her here but I like this shoes above so I took it out. •

Don't mind me being a rowdy pink kid a while - this was the outfit of the day when I met Mademoiselle Yulia. Yeah, THAT GIMME GIMME girl x Fafi. One that remembers me (hopefully) that I sent her a snap of KTZ's Sasha. She's amaaaayzinggggg but I didn't get to meet the VERBAL dude :(

Wearing head-to-hip in KTZ. Isn't the pink-tassled vest stunning?! Get it here for anyone in SE Asia - I got mine here since I live in Singapore myself. Ha!

Of course, who doesn't love our lady of punk and funk : Vivienne Westwood? I still love her to this very day!! But nonetheless I don't seem to like any of her Melissa shoes...
(look at her creations from the olden days to today! Special timeline just for her~)

But, I like Alexander Herchhovitch, the other hitmaker (like my nails! *wishing)! Love his shoes and designs, epicly the bondage boots for his RTW 2009 collection.

• DIVA ring, OPI colors that matches the Rose print Tee worned. Yeah, that IS my original nail, anyone asking •

So onto the beautiful, fashion editorial world-class standard for plastic pairs of Melissa's from JPG (Jean Paul Gaultier's) and plastic fantastic Barbie girls, I really love this editorial Tropical Delirium:
:

And not forgetting that SERIOUSLY SCREAMS MY STYLE, fluttering parrots in the midst of the Amazonian forest, with bows and ribbons twined and colorful pouffed hair
GLAMAZON.

In a special column, names from Blonde Salad Chiara came up whom once Ira told me about her, (and we're both so dead in blogging and moved onwards in our offline life, LOL) and I was pretty obsessed with the beautiful name of the beholder - no stalker attached here but it gives such a pretty ring to it - and rhymes like Fererro chocolate,

(drifting again. We have a SAS: short attention span problem)
but I noticed one that I really knew well. This is,  Around the World where Melissa fans dwell and is famous for being in their own skin!

Well I was hesitant at first ! However after reading it and somehow to check the site link written it is correct - they didn't state it but tinytoadstool, the super kawaii creations Shan makes I can't stand it and here she is!

And how I STILL DREAM OF GOING THERE. SOUTH AMERICANOOOOO WHEN WILL I VISIT YOUUUU AND TAHAN THE 21-hour fly travel. Rio de Janeiro of Furious Five, Youth Day in 2013, then drop a visit to Machu Picchu... /daydream for now

Check out their article on about their rainforests and the country in INTO THE WILDhow they influenced the world thru their natural habitat and on their design processes of Melissa.

Short attention span, I shall sojourn to my own wealth of my final year project (dealing with SAS and all that jazz), fashion-focused project.
Wait for it next year! Until then, I'm signing off after another probably 5 more posts (if I can make it) for this year.

Just came back from Anime Festival Asia 2011, will be doing Sundown Festival and, not forgetting the Mnet Asia Music Awards later end of the month. Woots!

Scratched.

As Editor in Chief of Surface (International) Dan Rubenstein has clearly state, their new, lighter, thinner, smaller in size, extra minimal in art direction of their re-establishing their look - their "new formula", this new start is everything but having only to scratch the surface.

_____________
Well, I was wondering around my library thinking which magazine to borrow, being bored, and here was I surprise with their all-new, all-lightweight paper grammage and design that's certainly more delightable to bring around. However with their new customize, thin typeface, I'm not diggin' it. Surface had this bold bulky feel - due to the size and thickness. Well, guess they minimized it down not only with the exterior look, they've made everything lighter to the eyes. Oh well, sharing my favorite pages!

•HEXA by KUHO! LOVE HIM. He's the first to get my attention from the rest. The shoes looks hard and uncomfortable to walk in though.

If it isn't the Asian profiles on the rise - and me covering it, then I'm not me and this is not whut derr fakq iz vat. Very pro on Asians, we're the ones reigning in a decade's time and I'm proud of my Asian roots. Note to self: Must do research and visit the places from the article Seoul Mates when I'm in Seoul.

Then, it comes to the fashion section where well well, look what we have here, my favorite plaids and clashes of color where clothes are treated as skirts to be layered and draped together that complements the huge statement necklaces. Me like the styling.

Alright oh goodness please forgive me dear Lord for I have tempted myself in doing other things compared to my final year project which is seriously needing great attention (but you gave me the brain that writes exemplary well during crucial hours that I need to refine my time mgmt) Well dear guys please wish me luck on my diploma of higher education year or else I won't be graduating this year hence the little number of posts.

I've only been busy around Twitter to RT on things I write under my Playground list on the left panel there, on Best of British and the breathtaking austere label Bodybound, Tumblr, Svpply, and well Fagbook for my pals.

Singaporeans, if you're around, and you're a K-Popper, don't miss

The Balletcats' Catalogue finally out with works brought forth through the amalgamation of designers' brains beyond our Indonesian shores, A super ultra-hip flea mart in Seoul anyone do not want to miss, Korean boyband TOUCH in Singapore to attend the MFW Asia CANALI show, sneak-peek of GIL HOMME AW11 as its his first show ever in MFW, and my once-in-a-lifetime experience that I'll keep on smiling mad and pinch myself every time.

Oh, I love this journalist for hollering up a support on her Tweet for my Miss Marc project. It gives me Red Bull power without the drink. Thank you! :)
Good morning everyone and lastly, please support CIRCUS VOYAGE, A ONE OF A KIND PUBLICATION LEFT FOR AND BY AND TO UNITE BLOGGERS.

Okay, now really, Goodbye until 26th and check out Whiteboard Journal for MFW postings!
