Which was more important, the home first or the admittance to school?
While yes, the importance of being admitted to the primary institution of choice is absolutely the greatest thing, I decided to rank it No. 4 because, all in all, the humble abode will house you no matter what when you are tired from the city's lights and frights of deadline rush.

To have lived in zone 1, having a London address, a London postcode is something not everyone can have. I was immensely lucky to immediately have found a place that caters everything and for me to move in without problems.

So yes, that is the no. 3.

Old, for Old Street, the zone between central and East London; the tech roundabout, London's answer to Silicon Valley; Google Campus; and of course, my home area for my year in London.

Where it all started:

I arrived in Heathrow with one suitcase, one handcarry, 21 clothing article, 3 pairs of shoes, and a mix of poundsterling and euros and I used it to this cab which no one told me about...

It's been one year, intensely crazy, I bid farewell to the political world of academia forever as a student but to return as a lecturer...

Who knew Old Street would be such a gem? What's a real, real, real pity is the fact that I didn't explore the area when I was living in the area. Everyone can shoot me now that I realised how Shoreditch market/ Old Spitalfields was just 15 mins. away from me? That I discovered somewhere in my second semester in London. Say, February?

Mhmm. I've moved out to the northern area of London in zone 3 for the next two months until 26 Nov, my flight from Gatwick. It'll be my first time to try on Garuda Indonesia, stopover Amsterdam, and to arrive back in CGK within 15.5 hours. Let's give it until 17 shall we.

But before everything else, the wonderful one year in my home that I dub as the lost Grand Budapest Hotel (our lobby is entirely powder pink!).

Then, let me introduce my 'London workshop' for the year. A designer will always be a designer. laughs I had editorial design withdrawal symptoms because my assignments were all words-based. If only, I could paint a picture with 5000 words, that would be nice.

OK London, time to see you properly now! At the time of writing, I have crossed of "for the first time" bucket list: Tate, Sloan Square, Saatchi, Hampstead, Stratford Westfield, North Greenwich, and the V&A at night, stunning.

(At the time of writing, TRIED) To Do: More museums, Observatory, Wimbledon, Wembley Park, Queen's Park, do the Independent bookstore map, and other cities and Wales, highly recommended by Luke.

             A few days ago I've found a Mook on Mori Gaaru's Room Interior catalog. How can I not pass it? Much fanks to the girl in el-jay who uploaded it and scanned it page by page... oh how stressing.

In response to Jazzydear's giveaway, I thought of commenting but then I got too excited to search little cute interior rooms so I'd rather make a post - it's too bad to not share some aaahhhhh pweeeddiiie little thing.

I've always wanted to stay in the attic, wooden panels and just a natural finish - it could be raw or just gray cool cement to balance off the hot day. And a trap door to come in with a ladder... but it'll be occupying the whole roof - with secret traps and all that, inspired by these:

•Yes as a Forest Girl wannabe I shall need to acquire all these to decorate my bookshelves sitting nicely~

it's also in the catalog! ZOMG. I need high capital for this change.•

Oh not forgetting a walk in wardrobe but in a more accessible way...

And my tables and decorations would have pretty garlands around, and oh cupcake drawings!

And how to get down as soon as the alarm rings for the 10x time, it'll be like PRINCESS MIA'S Princess Diaries attic room with a metal pole sliding down! Wheee~

And my keys would be in a very cute keychain like what Selby snapped of...

I'd be happy to stay aaaaaaaalllllll day home in big plush pillows on the floor lazing around playing with my bunny~

Never Enough of... (3)

Another person I'll envy: Lactose Intoler Art's Brandon living in Tokyo for a long while then knows the way around with knowing THE people of the town. Aaaahhh my life living by others! Interesting personal style of artwork - and the artist's artwork style is answered there after the post! :D

Upon a Fold is a stationary galore store! With unique folds and patterns, ones you can't find around stores and specially here. It also has good taste - not the usual color mix of the ones we like but it perfectly goes together in the palette.

It reminds me of Betty Boop! She also shows how she did it step-by-step from a mere B/W to glossy girl. Tee hee. More illustrations in her blog here.

YES! FINALLY ONE PLACE TO FIND complete illustration for kids links, as for my upcoming project to join the handmade picure book competition. Theme and concept is 'BUBBLES'. Anyone finds interesting artworks of a girl blowing or just beautiful watercolor bubbles like this in the notebook cover, do share! :)

It's now not active but still, I've got the whole way down to July 2008 to track-back and read everything they have reviewed on. All the things I LOVE! Japan Craft Journal's blog will b a mis when I've catched up till' 2009.

 I really would like my future home to have book... shelves? like this, found in Design Sponge. Although right now my books are in the same position as these are and boy, how they are quite annoying to stack it Jenga style!
