It had an 8-course meal I can never ever forget. The course had building intensity, burning flavors and passion of chefs who has brought the recipes from their family, years of experience and has produced the best outcome as their personal favorite dish to cook and eat.

Yes, an 8-course meal.

I'm the glutton angel.

Angel it was, wearing white and overexposure was taken during the shot outside the hotel. Well, it started about 2PM in the bloody hot, scorching afternoon in Singapore. Arriving partially late from my company's affair in Tiong Bahru and rushed on to Bus 75 to reach St. Regis by 2-something-close-to-3, the day outside after the course, which ended about 6-plus still gave the bright light, good for an outfit shoot, more coming after. And I was tired to bring my heavy tote! Pardon my touristy-squat stop in the middle of an Orchard Road.

Here comes me, my monstrous appetite, and the details of these magnificent *air kisses with hands pouting like a Hershey Kiss* tea-time dining!

The only thing though to have abolished the 9-cloud dream was the last meal. The very last one had to be the one to bring us back to soiled grounds of earthworms.

Two things why we should again make Japan be our role-model and to make us forever happy.

Recently, I went to a presentation by getting the usual Japan Creative Centre Singapore (JCC) newsletter and invitation for exhibitions. Now a confession: I only did a forward to my editor of Whiteboard without looking or reading what's it about - I only thought it would be another art exhibition which they usually hold. But I was quite taken by surprise to what I saw when I ran late and thought I was pretty lucky on being part of the audience of this group of NUS Japanese Studies and other few faq. students to visit Japan and learn from their PechaKucha presentation.

which it was cut to a big extent. So I'll dish here for the whole report which is worth a good 500-word essay back in school for a post field trip report. Because, I am this impressed.

Hi 'Shoes', or yes however you pronounce your moniker, it is stuck in my head still. Good nickname!

Under the direction of Professor Doctor Philip McMorran from the National University of Singapore (NUS), 12 final year students were brought to the southern area of Japan for a trip of discovery and research. With the focus of studying on their ecological friendly methods, for 7 days they were enriched with the nature Japan has naturally hold and of what they have man-made to make things look natural.

 

What fascinate them overall is how Japanese are so exquisitely neat, initiative and its discipline dedication to maintain the situation. From the naked eye, the theme park garden Huis Ten Bosch isn’t just your usual theme park – powered by the water beneath its massive windmills and rivers and teddy bear museum, huge pipes all around are transporting and chugs water over and over to recycle.

Man made scenery at Kurokawa Onsen doesn’t look artificial at all. It has grown along with nature and the main mission of it is to present Japan’s nature close by with its guests relaxing while they bathe.

Kumamoto City Green Carpet movement is also part of the agenda, but what’s to note is the unbelievable action of city to categorize their waste into 24 different types, where we commonly see only 3, for better recycling methods and to preserve the future.

More than ever that well, my driver's son gets a SCHOLARSHIP to study in Japan and now WORKING THERE as well as wanting to be a high school kokosei which I'll never be but forever in secret in wanting to wear the uniform, which Eliora did...(OK STOP OUT OF TOPIC ALREADY SORRY)

I sincerely congratulate the success of the final-year students of NUS for embarking the journey to make the first step of change.

                    Now back to my space to talk whatever I want. I was blown away on how this professor was doing his job. And really, doing doing an extra effort to an extent to help his students to get a job in this opportunity. So you saw the photo above where I was sitting. I was sitting among these people that were from various industries and companies and etc.

                    PLUS POINT was that there was a lot of Japanese companies and reps from the JCC/Embassy, like the rep for the transport authority in Japan itself or how I perceive on how the MC introduced him. And man, for the professor who introduced each and every student with their specialist abilities and their interests and reminding everyone who were present to "please get in touch with them, contact them if you have an Earth to save" because a student wanted to save the Earth.

                    I don't think my lecturers will even lower their ego for some peanuts like us. Hmmm. I do feel that this kind of exposure needs to happen and a WOW for NUS. Good thing that there's JCC present to utilize in Singapore. It is a good city for creating opportunities - lots of things are popping up and you gotta grab it ya'll!

Cheers to Prof. McMorran there, I wish you were my lecturer. I got high respects for ya, fist bump!

Another thing is this cute thing from Lomography - the KIRAMEKI series! This was like back in May or I forgot since I've put the post to draft but aren't these a little zen darling (the middle one).

So there was a contest to win this kawaii chiisai darling. So I entered. I was late by a day but they immediately accepted by blur hazy geisha photo for the competition entry - only 20 people were chosen OMONA! But I didn't win.

Well I couldn't win because...

The event was held at GI Indonesia (at the time being I was still in Singapore) and my parents are viciously unsupportive by not attending (but then it was a city to city trip for a camera hmmm) , via LOMOGRAPHY album!

I couldn't get retrieve my photo anywhere, anyhow it was taken by Minhwan!

Now can we toast for Japan's everlasting forever zettai soba ni iru in my heart?

Oh dear whatever the point is that I love Japan berry berry much. MUCH!!!

        It's been long overdue, so I'll keep it short. I'm supposed to do my moodboards for Project TWO NOW yet instead have the urge to archive this.       After assessment yesterday, but still in ill mode but not-so-grave anymore, two of my articles are out there! Well, not exactly, but this pa-waa magic jacket I think was the reason why I could go in...

I was thrilled when last December a friend of mine told me it was on sale. No further explanation needed.

I've knew the opening of this Harajuku Street Style event was 7:30pm at Tangs Playlab - Orchard Rd. and I was planning to go with Uriko-chan and dress up! So by 6-something I was still thinking what to wear and ended up with this...

Taken at Tangs. I was surprised the front door was closed off to members only (shi-at I did read the event was only to the people invited) due to special members' sale whoever has gotten a Citibank or Tangs card. So I tried to go to underground where the MRT halls crosses. Then it was also close! Whist walking towards the closed Tangs dept. store I wore my jacket that I've folded inside my bag. The little entrance with a women who was checking people with the card was there, and with my guts i tried to show her my CITIBANK ATM CARD.

At least there was the CITIBANK on it, so worth the try.

"Do you have any other types of Citibank cards?" (They were actually referring to creditcards)

 "Nope, I've only got this"

"Oh, are you attending any event, like the Harajuku event?"

"Yes, I am"

"OK, you may proceed in"

And I was in. HELL YEAH COLD ICE BABY!

We were in the scene! People taking shots, met Fadli as well thank goodness we know no one like he does know everyone.

Red-obsessed.

Who might have thought he would take over the seat's of a cameraman and film director after taking over one of the best celebrated shoemaker in the whole world?

A short movie that grasps on a lady's obsession on these red heels (I think it's very much fathomable why) for a celebration of his new boutique. More on the behind the scenes, here.

I've got to say the movie's mediocre, filming a sweet dream's wishful girl, one who always dreams of having a pair, this one's loaded, a dream coming true. And him giving a pair in the end? I'll ask, who wouldn't want THAT? All your fantasies and desires come true!

However still absolute vain in this project for sure. Well, advertising, who can blame?



Anyone got caught in the ad? Don't worry, there are many sites and here's one for you guys to go get a pair (or more!) to earn that higher oxygen those celebrities usually breathe in the red carpet when wearing these red heels. ;) 

Encountered.

Planned today to meet an old friend from my high school, Jang Ji Eun!
*then she called me to remove the picture, kekekekekeke*
Ate lunch together in Swensen's because there was a promotion of 1 get 1, me trying to avoid eating fast food ^^
After looking at the menu, I chose the special of the month thing which was fried fish with apricot and mayonnaise, and in the end Ji Eun also ordered the same. Heehee!
And after it came, it looks like a normal fish and chips thing like I can get from Ah Mei cafe... Although the fish was very soft. Nothing special really, and spent $9 including tax and services. WDF... I could eat it in Ah Mei and I think it's quite highly charged, but you get a bowl of soup as well.

After lunch, we headed inside Bugis Junction itself just to cool ourselves and see around as well. Continuing to Kino, I randomly checked out magazines and books and then spotted Singapore's Bazaar's open, and I flipped through since it was a newer edition and not the freebie resulting the smuggling from AFF~

Then I encountered it.
Skimming through the pages, I saw a familiar illustration... A blonde girl in a drawing style I know... then there it was in the caption that confirmed it all. Jan's (my first roommate) Haagen Dazs entree for the competition! (click to enlarge)


After that I showed my school, and guess what? THE NEW CAFE'S LOOKING GREAT! I bet it should be opening this Thursday... Man I'm missing lots thanks to one event back home...


After a round in Plaza Sing we said our goodbyes and I headed home, to do more packing. Going back tomorrow! Excited but then I would totally miss the net connection here - back home mine's still DIAL UP. Anyone can live with it? Well, I can. I never go online by then.

(that's why after this post I do not know when I would ever. Unless I'll go to Coffee Bean and start streaming internet in.)

But once my laptop's open, Youtubing is already on. I again, through subscriptions, found the newest Intimate Note subbed where the special FlyToTheSky 마지맠- last show, together. Hopefully they would resume their FTTS again in the future.
There was of course, Brian, HWANHEE, and WHEESUNG and Lyn.
It was so hilarious in the first half, too goofy and just SO awkward - Wheesung is naughty haughty (with his mission!)!

I seriously hate cleaning up.

Especially moving out. Crap I still have loads of stuff and I've forgotten many things I would still have to bring tomorrow! A whole bag, then my DF model, Coke, files, bathing basket, laundry rack... and while piling trash and what to bring, I happen to find this:

V's old present gift wrap from last year! She gave me a cooking book on making fast cakes. Since I would be having a kitchen now it would be now useful. Before when I got it I was taken aback, like what? LOL. And I couldn't just throw this away even though it's only made out of artcard and masking tape, the writing does it. So before I throw it away (sorry sorry) I photographed it. At least it would be in my archive here now.
So far, here's what my room looks like now. More empty. One academic year living here, now leaving.

And I might encounter more trash/treasure along the way. Whew and my flight today's at 4PM! Would have to leave at 2PM,
