Pierce.

I've been meaning to post it since September last year after I arrived from my two-week Eurotrippin' and not until today I had the sudden motivation to revive my blog again - I'm getting some creative juices!

There was this simple dress I got for roughly S$8 in BKK and I wanted to make things rather different. My style, Miss Foo will say when she sees this. Everyone knows I like drape drape, so here's just one way to do things your own way and be different, and all you need is:

the basic dress with only 1 pin

  • 1 Long dress, preferably with a pattern so draped and scrunch looks visible compared to solid black
  • 10-15 pins, big ones like those nappy for babies (since I used them for this) and normal ones, big ones better to keep the weight.

It's not so easy, I had to pin and pierce it while I wear it because laying them on the bed and scrunching it in will not look the same. I tried it on and off, and best way is to keep it ON.
Sorry for the bad image, it was really late at night and I was rushing off or I'll look horrendous on Day 5.

This was scrunched and held perfectly with trial and error. Make sure your pins really are strong and won't fall off halfway. My dress material was polyester cotton jersey and polyester made it ultra heavy. So those babies huge ones actually did help through the inside.

TA - DA, you now look different.

See the rest of my trip's looks of 10 days worth!

Collarbone.

Hi there!

After getting an old copy of So-en magazine and I saw the must top 10 things to have in 2011 spread, which no. 6 or 7 was a pretty peter pan collar with lots of beads, I decided that during the summer I'd need to make one.

Thanks for my dear grandma, making collars is fast-forward 48x on your DVD remote!
(Remember the troubling days of fashion studies and its crime where I was crying over Juki, my sewing boyfriend, and the failed collar? Well, if my collar-making takes 2 hours, then my grandma has made me about 6 of them in the same allocated time!)

Talk about loveliness. I'd just need to get my hands on the accessories, and voila, done and done! I've worn this out before here, so more inspiration and how to make it, see the recipe below.

Catfight.

Update: the tee is now back in stock, HERE HERE HERE to start scrambling for this limited tee!

This post was definitely long overdue, and it's already grumpy.

     The cat wakes up;
It purrs before it starts to strike.
           Once the queen strikes,
           It's a bloodshed stained pupil.

•all tangled up. the entire cat population are my best friends argyle-less yet furry sweater with claws over the back•

•Over and above, inside and out.•

Human is my new favorite bizzare food tee•

These products which I collaborated together for the copywriting, and which is, I heard, sold out already? I teamed up with Jordan, the guy behind the cat-rabbit mutilation brand (Balletcats, oy) and we tweaked up sentences to another level of inhuman sarcasm. I don't get it what I'm writing. But anyhow it was mainly done by e-mail (I think it was only 110% email plus one package delivery) and I was pleasantly thrilled to recieve the package, minus the real packaging which was quickly deteriorating in your storage, yes Jordan as a LOT of people are bombarding for orders?

*toothy big grin inserted, Alice in Wonderland cat*

•Last served: Human is toasted and burnt to perfect crisp under the dryer•

The copywriting collaboration was done during November-December 2010 and received the super duper goods in December, just nice as my early x-mas gift when I returned from SG.

They've got a new fairytale book stored in their latest work, and have you guys scene it yet of what I wrote? (Yes that was a hint. Scene it. It's a movie and a schwede dream).

Then during the winter holiday I was then going cranky being home alone (well not. Let's just put a nice storyline to go along with the whole package) and so I took the cheese grater wanting to grate my wrist. But instead, the sweater saved my life.

It doesn't give you much of a sweet dream but a sinister memory every morning. Well, you were big and you crushed the Liliputs.

End of the catfight.

Meow! Well, guess it's time to share although I know none will do care!
It's been a while and now I'm quite frequent compared to the days where I joined early 2009 and it was like a silent graveyard where wild cats I wanna kick roam.

T w e e t   C l i c k   M e !

I tweet my latest blog posts and art projects I undertake, East Fashion worshiper, insider scoop of what happens during press cons of the lovely Korean idols, and random musings on my gastronomic journey. So if you have the same interest, holler up!

Well, chirp I'd say but don't chase me.

Dip.

It's been a while, DEE AI WAI!

The summer was productive because my Santorini trip got cancelled, thanks berry much ah. On the bright side it WAS,  a very productive summer. Designed more dresses made dresses and did more DIY's and it was like a little crafty summer. And this was in July 2011 (see how I've neglected my dear dead blog for now because I'm feeding amongst many other places)

This is rather easy, you know, the usual DYING. I only did a couple experiments by using color  and trying to keep the colors together because I dyed three colors at once, but to not dye the backside... seen below.

So this was my experimental black dye with my dad's old tee, which you could see what happens to it now and it looks a fantastic add if you agree with me...

It was a whole black pail because I wanted to dye a gradual color for my grey slouched top from (X)SML, which in the end failed because I didn't bleach it first.

However after I bleached it... everyone else agrees to keep it just like that. Pictures soon!

THE BIG QUESTION: Which of the colors you guys prefer?
It is now, actually plain white again (after all this tedious work, I KNOW.)

I'll be updating this post with another DIY Collar! Tee hee.

OH, YOU FANCY

You'll never hear me ask once and for all to go out at midnight all the way to a club.
You'd give me an incredulous look in a second, blink in disbelief, but go 'hurrah!' on the next.

Well, that was only one night, for only one reason - to see fancyHIM and THE Peli spin for the night all the way from TOKYO! Omaigotto, when else?

And since N.thanael Shaf Stefan and the usual hood are there to do some dance moves as said...

So here it was - and I love the design of the poster/flyer/image here!

Back to topic, they're pals with MLLE YULIA too, so they're the heart of the Tokyo clubbing scene. And the fashion part for sure which I was aiming for.

It's a mask ball, and from its description, a mask is a must. I was stucked for a bit but luckily I had a mask somewhere safe kept since a couple years back.

So of course, I had to prepare. As geeky as I'd get for all things Nippon, here's what I did to plan beforehand:

•uh, yeah, that's supposed to be me in a big bun on top, with whatever drawing and the additional last minute change from necklace to hair piece of my baskin robbins spoon 'cessary... and the mask.•

When I was re-reading for a gazillionth time after the night of N'TH (click on the picture to support em! I love love love this free, yes freeeeeee magazine in SG) and saw Peli on their Droptokyo street style, I was even more overwhelmed. That's why she was even more familiarly refreshed on my head! *And I like that girl on her left with her colorful skirt*

Yeah, to cut things short, I prepared just as I drew on the above for the tee. I've been keeping this tee for some time - it's and old tee of my dad's used for soaking up the last bits of dye I did during the summer (POST WILL COME NOT ANYTIME SOON HA) and after contemplating plus watching the latest SHINee Juliette video which put me to fashiongasmic of its styling and the toy masks, I tried to cut like le wife's pink tee turn something liddat on left here.

•snap away and cut cut cut with full on accessories on the night•

With a few changes from knee-high black socks to leopard prints and being the earthy-theme'd helped by Miss President Director of BS Corporation Damian Shirley I was ready to rumble and to be looked at weirdly. Yeah, you be the judge. ;)

The theme for me was all out and the night where I felt like I was supposed to be in 原宿(Harajuku). ふわふわふわ〜

•When it becomes a necklace, and the fancyHIM goodie in my bag~

•wearing unbranded colorful tee (inside), DIY black-dyed self die-cut tee, Batik Semar dress as jacket, old navy brown wool shorts, leopard stockings, unbranded yellow sandal wedgeswearing all most of my chunky bracelets gotten from Turkey, Diva metal ring, small crotchet bag from Yunan, Glo-in-dark rosary, DIY Spoon haircessory and the mask•

Got little goodies perfect for my pin collection and next DIY-ing, and the best memory however blurred. Mission accomplished at 3AM, which is what I wanted to do and the ONLY thing I wanted to do is to snap, and pass. Won't dish anymore to keep the wish far safe. 11:11!

She was great - she suddenly high fived me for "great mask!" whilst re-Q-ing back to the party. It was a good choice to re-enter. It paid off.

Well, be the judge again for below.

Butter Factory's best MISSMATCH yet - and boy was I BLOWN AWAY - the songs they spin and the taste SUITED ME WELL. I am the hometown kiddo of Japan afterall. AND PELI SPINS MAD. WDF AWESOME MAD. Love her DJ style hands down period .

PoLLy EsTheR

This is my favorite project of the whole term thus far, moreover it turned out just the way I imagined it, which is why all my anxiety, dissapointment and annoyance towards Fast Print is gone! Bless you and your fake gold hot stamping that was 95% OK! Been a while for me to upload - I don't have the time to do this now actually!

For Visualisation+Presentation Digital, we had to create a catalog for products we are to self-produce, photograph, and brand it. I was frantic at first, and the only one thing I had in hand which I DIY, the stocking socks, was the only last thing I had. But with a flip of a magazine and a word that immediately luminated the dark world of no idea to the pot brimming with bubbles, ready to serve! And for the lst few days before hours to the deadline, I kicked my ass off and did it!

Finally...

See the complete work and thumbs-up appreciate (you don't have to be a member) it here!

Here's a little behind-the-scene outtakes on how I really did it:

with a touch of super-exposed on Ps, brightening the colors with contrast and other quick magic touch.
